Palmarosa- Young Living

🌺 FUN FACTS 🌺

Once known as Turkish Geranium or Indian geranium oil, Palmarose was widely for centuries used by Indian physicians to lower fever and prevent infection. The herbaceous green grass shares similarities with lemongrass and citronella. The use of Palmarosa essential oils for skin health is popular among aromatherapy practitioners and alternative medicine supporters. Interestingly enough, even though it has a distinctly floral aroma, palmarosa was traditionally added to food as a culinary precautionto kill bacteria and aid digestion!

🌺 WHAT IT DOES 🌺

An oil of beauty, palmarosa has been used to hydrate the skin, particularly in rough, dry patches. Animals benefit from the application of this oil to their skin as well, as it is very gentle yet effective for promoting healing. It also balances the skin and controls the skin’s sebum levels., helping to maintain a spot-free complexion.

But its benefits aren’t just skin deep. Modern research has shown Palmarosa to be extremely beneficial to the nervous system and to the joints, particularly when maintaining a healthy inflammatory level is important. Other uses of palmarosa oil include relieving stress, anxiety, and nervous exhaustion

Palmarosa is also an important oil for the immune system and digestive system as it promotes the production of stomach acid and aids in nutrient absorption.
