Myrtle

Myrtle- Young Living

🌳 FUN FACTS 🌳

Myrtle has been widely used as folk medicine for the treatment of digestive, pulmonary and skin problems in many parts of the world. The myrtle plant was associated with the ancient Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. Born from the sea foam, she sought the comfort of a myrtle bush to cover her nakedness, which is why myrtle also represents purity. Greek tradition has it that myrtle was offered to certain men and women as a symbol of honor. The Greeks also valued the plant because of its incredible healing qualities

🌳 WHAT IT DOES 🌳

Greek physicians used the plant oil for lung and bladder conditions, while in Italy, the oil was prescribed to children for coughing. The oil found in myrtle leaves was also used in skincare and as a remedy to regulate menstrual cycle. Today, myrtle oil has been extensively researched for its ability to help balance hormones, specifically the thyroid and ovaries. Myrtle possesses a particularly desirable property; it is an adaptogen, means it  may help regulate a gland depending on the needs of the person.

Myrtle is highly valued for skincare as it helps to minimize oil, open pores and tighten elasticity.  It can also be effective applied topically on location to speed the healing of blemishes

Myrtle is an excellent choice for respiratory support, and is gentle enough for children and elderly alike. It helps to promote healthy mucus levels in your respiratory tract. It encourages easy breathing by helping to open the sinuses

Myrtle makes an excellent deodorizer, helps promote sleep and is used in the aromatherapy world to soothe the nerves and reduce stress.

It’s always a good idea to have a plan for inevitable distractions- using an essential oil, like Surrender, can help you cast off inhibitions that may be controlling limiting your potential.  The oils in this blend especially work together to help balance the emotions, declutter the mind and allow one to fully “surrender” to the task at hand while simultaneously summoning a calming equilibrium and inner strength to get the job done.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness graphic

Forgiveness- Young Living

❤️ FUN FACTS ❤️

The Young Living Forgiveness blend contains fifteen therapeutic grade, emotional oils that work in harmony to enhance the ability to release hurtful memories and move beyond emotional barriers. When we are lifted into a higher spiritual awareness, our frequency rises to the point where we are almost compelled to forgive, forget and let go. This is one major step in releasing emotional bondage from our lives. This blend has an extremely high (spiritual and emotional) frequency of 1942 MHz. To give you a comparison the human brain is 72-90 MHz and the body is 62-68 MHz.

Frequency is an indicator of the vibration and energy of food or even thoughts! For instance organic food has a higher vibration than conventional food. Processed food is 0 MHz; and studies have shown that just eating lower frequency foods can bring your overall frequency down! Essential Oils raise the vibrational level as soon as you smell them.

When the level of the essential oil is very high it helps us release things quicker by raising our spiritual awareness.

❤️ WHAT IT DOES ❤️

We forgive, not for the other person, but for ourselves.”  This is so we do not have to carry around the heavy burden that holding onto wrongs done to us can bear. And this burden takes a toll on our health, as science is now proving.

Psychologists and neurologists have been researching forgiveness and have concluded that the act of forgiveness is health-promoting for the forgiver.

Using essential oils, such as Young Living’s Forgiveness blend, has a direct influence on the brain because the sense of smell is the only sense directly wired to the brain. Olfactory nerves transport the aroma of essential oils to the limbic system and the olfactory sensory center at the base of the brain. The impulses are passed next between the pituitary and pineal gland and move to the amygdala, which is the memory center or fear and trauma. Healing and forgiveness can then take place.

❤️ WHAT’S IN IT ❤️

  • MELISSA– calming and uplifting, it helps balance emotions, remove emotional blocks and instills a positive outlook on life
  • GERANIUM– helps with hormonal balance, liver and kidney functions, and the discharge of toxins from the liver that keep us from having balance.

  • ROSEWOOD– appeasing to the mind, relaxing to the body, creates a feeling of peace and gentleness

  • LAVENDER– oils of relaxation, traditionally known to balance the body and help wherever there is a need. Promotes consciousness, health, love, peace and a general sense of well-being

The herbaceous green grass shares similarities with lemongrass and citronella. Black Pepper & Black Pepper Vitality

Black Pepper graphic

Black Pepper & Black Pepper Vitality- Young Living

💥 FUN FACTS 💥

Black Pepper, one of the most used spices on planet earth, is so commonplace that its medicinal values largely go unrecognized. Its essential oil is steam distilled form berries grown in Egypt, Madagascar and India. Pepper was used by the Egyptians in mummification as evidenced by the discovery of black pepper in the nostrils and abdomen of Ramses II. Indian monks ate several black pepper corns a day to maintain their incredible stamina and energy

For centuries, black pepper was as highly prized as gold and silver and accounted for 70% of the international spice trade. During the Dark Ages, Arab traders had a monopoly on the black pepper trade. To maintain this monopoly and keep the source of black pepper a closely-guarded secret (and hence increase the price and prestige of black pepper), they came up with a great story. The tale they told was that black pepper grew in groves of trees that were guarded by poisonous snakes. In order to harvest the black pepper, the trees had to be burned in order to drive out the snakes. This process ( so they said) also turned the originally white fruit black! That myth worked for a long time.

💥 WHAT IT DOES 💥

Historically, pepper was used for thousands of years for malaria, cholera and digestive issues. Today, pepper’s primary common use is to revive someone who has fainted. However, pepper is also stimulating and comforting for those who are awake as well! This oil may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, detox the body, enhance circulation, increase cellular oxygenation, support digestive glands, and stimulate the endocrine system, increase energy, aid with addiction recovery, improve a healthy appetite, aid muscle tone, support joint connective tissue, aid circulation and help one regain balance and settle the nerves from imbalance.

Studies have shown that Curcumin (the active compound of turmeric) is made readily bioavailable with the presence of black pepper- any good turmeric supplement should have black pepper as a main ingredient

Aromatically, black pepper is said to help people examine things with clarity and honesty

Aroma Ease- Young Living

🛀 FUN FACTS 🛀

This blend was specifically formulated by Gary Young to aid the digestive and nervous system when they are overwhelmed by motion and nervous tension. He gave this oil to his team members when they had team building exercises and retreats on cruise ships. Although Aroma Ease does not currently come in the Vitality line, it was originally used as an oil for topical, aromatic and ingestion,

🛀 WHAT IT DOES 🛀

This oil blend contains oils traditional used to soothe nerves and stomach. It is also associated with the ability to alleviate feeling of stress and to encourage positive energy flow. It contains the naturally occurring constituents menthol, l-carvone, zingiberene, linalool, and ocimene.

🛀 WHAT’S IN IT 🛀

PEPPERMINT– an incredibly soothing oil to the nerves, peppermint supports a calm digestive system, soothes the stomach, and helps alleviate stress

SPEARMINT – works in much the same way as peppermint, but has a sweeter aroma. Spearmint also works to help eliminate emotional blocks, relieve mental strain and fatigue.

GINGER- used since ancient times for it’s support of the digestive system- it is said to help strengthen the stomach and the nerves

CARDAMOM- Cardamom has many of the same properties as Ginger, but with a much milder, sweeter aroma. It is uplifting, refreshing and invigorating while supporting and strengthening the digestive system. Cardamom is also said to be beneficial for clearing confusion
